Creating Healthy Baby Foods
When money is scarce, you can always create your own baby food. Many baby foods found in stores are safe and convenient, however, many contain a lot of sugar, water and starch. The landlords have lower amounts and are more natural.
Babies do not need to consume solid foods until they are between 4 and 6 months old. Babies under 4-6 months have not learned to swallow. If they are given solid foods at any age before 4-6 months, they will most likely expel solid foods due to the mouth’s sucking reflex. There is also the option of forcing the food, however, if you are not careful, it can cause the baby to choke or become nauseous. Once your baby is between 4 and 6 months old, it will be much easier to feed him with solids; however, make sure the food has small lumps and has a light texture.
The first foods for a baby should be soft. Many health nutritionists suggest that iron-filled infant rice cereal mixed with a baby formula or breast milk should be the baby’s first solid food. This is because rice is much less likely than other grain products to cause allergic reactions. You can use a food processor, a grinder, a food mill or a basic blender to soften the food so that the baby can consume it more easily.
If all this takes too long, you can always use a fork. If you are having a family meal and want to feed your baby, take out a portion of the baby’s food before adding flavor (spices, condiments, salt, etc.) in case there are allergies. After about a month of solid foods, you can start feeding your baby with small pieces of meat, fruits or vegetables.
At what age should babies start eating solid foods?
When the baby is between 4 and 6 months old, you can feed him with cereal and rice mixed with formula or breast milk. When the baby is 7 months old, you can start feeding him with small pieces of vegetables. At 8 months, small pieces of fruit are accepted. Be sure to prepare the food very carefully. Babies are much more vulnerable to diseases than young children or older children. Be sure to wash your hands before preparing baby food and make sure raw food is cooked very carefully. Make sure baby food is not left alone at room temperature for two hours or more once it is prepared, otherwise the bacteria will grow rapidly. If your baby does not eat, refrigerate the food.

Before doing anything, wash your hands well and make sure the equipment you are using is clean. Rinse the fruits you have before using them and rub the vegetables you have. Remove all holes or seeds from the fruit. For meats, remove skin, fat, cartilage and bones. Make sure the food is fresh and not left over. When cooking food, be sure to cook it in water. Later, if the recipe you use asks for liquid, you can use the water you cooked. Food can also be baked or steamed. Be sure not to add condiments, sugar, salt, honey or any sweeteners. The sweet taste of food does nothing for the baby. Chances are, your baby likes food as it is. Babies under 12 months can get sick when consuming corn syrup or honey because they can contain botulism spores. These cannot be destroyed by the digestive system of a small baby. Crush the food until it is semi-solid or soft enough for the baby to consume safely without drowning or hurting the gums. If you have a lot of food, you can place it in a container or jar and put it in the freezer or refrigerator. If you have enough, you can start feeding the baby. If they are left over, you can place them in the refrigerator, however, make sure they are eaten the next day. If you use a freezer, make sure the baby food fits the ice cube slots.

What you need: half a cup of meat cooked in cubes and 3 to 4 tablespoons of water.
How to cook: crush and mix until smooth.
Age requirement to eat: 10 months or more.
Oatmeal and banana flour:
What you need: a quarter cup of rolled oats and formula for babies or breast milk; one third of a whole banana and half a cup of formula or breast milk.
